Piles or hemorrhoids is one of the most common ailments today. It is a varicose and often inflamed condition of the veins, inside or just outside the rectum. In external piles, there is a lot of pain but not much bleeding. In the case of internal piles, there is discharge of dark blood. In some cases the veins burst and this results in what is known as bleeding piles.

2.Constipation, prostate enlargment, stricture urethra.
3.Pregnancy is also cause of piles.

In initial stage of piles medicinal treatment is recommended. Along with that diet care, high fibre diet sufficient intake of water is advised.
(1) Sclerotheraphy (Injection Therapy) :-
It is advised in first and second degree internal hemorrhoids. It helps to minimize bleeding from piles.
(2) Rubber Band Theraphy :-
Generally it is done in 2nd degree hemorrhoids in those patient who are unfit for anaesthesia.
(3) Stapler :-
It is done in 3rd & 4th degree hemorrhoids. This is costly technique so not so popular.
(4) Ksharsutra :-
It is done in 2nd, 3rd & 4th degree hemorrhoids. Success rate is 90 to 95 %. There is no anal incontinence in this technique.
